"Ch# 357-12-04 Pick# s-1811 S/N 7255 check letter " A", payable and countersigned on the Reverse by J.B.Varin (former mayor of Laprairie, Qc.) on June 27, 1837. A rare example of this note, would grade higher except for a post hole located left of the serial number, in the allagory and a small hole due to ink acid on top right edge." A similar note sold in Toronto Coin Expo, Spring Sale 2023, lot number 1239 for $600.00 (hammer in).
